Arroz con Pollo (general chicken paella)

A general chicken paella I grew up with
Makes 4 servings
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Total time: 35 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 4 pieces skinless boneless chicken breast
- 1 cup rice
- 2 cups water
- 1 package saffron (usually .4g)
- 1 small can small peas (recommendation: LeSeurs)
Instructions
- Grease a large pot with the vegetable oil and brown the chicken breast on both sides at medium heat. When cooked, ad in rice, water, and saffron and turn heat up to high. Make sure to stir around saffron to evenly distribute.
- Upon boiling, reduce heat to simmer for roughly 20 minutes, or until rice absorbs. Remove from heat and add peas. Salt and ground black pepper to taste.
